Dr. Singh has experience in hematopoietic stem cell transplant in both malignant & Non-malignant hematologic disorders, especially for Thalassemia, Aplastic Anemia, Sickle Cell Disorders, Neuroblastoma, Leukemia, etc., with performing more than 1300 bone marrow transplants, including Autologous / Allogenic / Half matched transplants. Dr. Pawan Kumar Singh is a leading hematologist in India and is currently the director of Sanar Hospital. He has also worked as a Head of the Department of Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplant at BLK Max Hospitals.
To his credit goes cases like doing successful Half matched Bone Marrow Transplant for sickle cell disease in an 8 months old child and successfully doing half matched Bone Marrow Transplant for Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH disease) in a 2 years old child.
His specialty remains the treatment of Acute Myeloid leukemia with Autologous / Allogenic Bone Marrow Transplants. He has, by now, treated over 400 cases of Acute Myeloid Leukemia from the world over, especially from Africa, where the incidence rate of AML (acute myeloid Leukemia) is found to be high. He has constantly used half-matched Bone Marrow Transplants from family members where a matched sibling was not available for treatment of Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
