What is Neuroblastoma?

Neuroblastoma is a rare type of childhood cancer that develops from immature nerve cells called neuroblasts. It usually starts in the adrenal glands located above the kidneys but may also develop in the abdomen, chest, neck, pelvis, or near the spine. Neuroblastoma mostly affects infants and young children and is one of the most common cancers found in children outside the brain.
