Medical Case Report: A 54-Year-old Male patient from Ghana Diagnosed with Bilateral Knee Arthritis Suggested Bilateral Knee Replacement Surgery in India

The shared reports indicate that patient has Tricompartmental Osteoarthritis affecting both the knees (Bilateral Knee Arthritis). 

Tricompartmental osteoarthritis is severe knee arthritis affecting all three joint compartments—medial (inner), lateral (outer), and patellofemoral (knee cap). It causes chronic pain, stiffness, and reduced mobility due to widespread cartilage wear. 

We will need to confirm the diagnosis by doing some investigations.

Investigations needed: Patient needs to undergo detailed physical and clinical evaluations followed by some tests like MRI scan, X ray with some routine investigations. 

Possible line of treatment: The patient needs to undergo detailed physical and clinical examinations in order to determine the final treatment plan. However, the patient may require Bilateral knee replacement surgery.

Knee replacement surgery (arthroplasty) replaces damaged knee cartilage and bone with metal and plastic components to relieve severe chronic pain, typically from arthritis, and improve mobility.
