Dr. Geeta Malkan Billa is the best hepatologist and gastroenterologist in Mumbai, India. She has practiced as a consultant hepatologist (liver disease specialist), liver transplant physician and gastroenterologist at Dr L H Hiranandani Hospital since March 2013 and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her patients. From 1981 to present, Dr. Billa has held positions as a gastroenterologist and hepatologist at various institutions throughout the country, including teaching hospitals, and has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating both common and complex digestive diseases and conditions associated with the liver. Dr. Billa graduated from University of Bombay with an MBBS, MD in General Medicine, and DM in Gastroenterology.
She has a special interest in liver diseases such as fatty liver (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), hepatitis B and C, and liver cancer. Dr. Billa also treats patients with serious conditions like cirrhosis and end-stage liver disease, and she is experienced in caring for patients before and after liver transplantation.
To further strengthen her knowledge, she completed a 2-year hepatology and liver transplantation fellowship at the University of Toronto, Canada.
