Dr. Suresh Bhagat is a Senior Consultant Urologist and Kidney Transplant Surgeon with more than 27 years of rich experience. He is currently serving as a Visiting Consultant of Urology at Hiranandani Hospital. He completed his MBBS from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University and went on to pursue advanced specialization with MS and MCh in Urology from the prestigious Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore. He has also received international training in HoLEP from Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, UK, and robotic surgery training on the Da Vinci Xi system.
Dr. Bhagat treats a wide range of urinary and kidney-related conditions in men, women, and children. His expertise includes managing kidney stones, enlarged prostate, urinary infections, bladder problems, and urological cancers. He is highly skilled in modern, minimally invasive procedures such as HoLEP, RIRS, MiniPerc, and Complex PCNL, which help patients recover faster with less pain and smaller incisions. He also performs advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgeries for kidney and bladder diseases.
Dr. Suresh kumar Bhagat has extensive experience in kidney transplantation, including both live donor and cadaveric transplants. With more than 1,500 successful kidney transplants and over 5,000 major surgeries to his credit, he is known for handling complex and high-risk cases with precision. His expertise also includes reconstructive urology procedures, pediatric urology surgeries, and treatment of complicated urinary birth defects and urethral conditions.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Bhagat has contributed significantly to teaching and research. During his tenure at CMC Vellore, he trained many young urologists and actively participated in academic programs. He has published research articles in reputed national and international journals and has been invited as a guest speaker at various medical conferences. He is a member of several leading urology associations and has received the Chandigarh Best Video Prize from the Urological Society of India for his outstanding work in complex renal autotransplantation surgery.
