Dr. Ashish Baweja is a Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology specialist at Artemis Hospitals, Gurugram, with 17 years of experience. He looks after patients with conditions that cause joint pain, swelling, inflammation and problems related to the immune system. He is currently working as a Consultant & In Charge in the Department of Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology.
Dr. Baweja has special experience in treating conditions such as Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus (SLE), Psoriatic Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Gout, Systemic Sclerosis, Vasculitis and Sjögren’s Syndrome. He also manages autoimmune and inflammatory diseases that can affect different organs of the body, making detailed diagnosis and regular monitoring an important part of treatment.
He completed his MBBS and MD in Internal Medicine from University College of Medical Sciences and Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, University of Delhi, followed by a DM in Clinical Immunology & Rheumatology from AIIMS, Rishikesh. He has also earned a Specialty Certificate in Rheumatology from the Royal College of Physicians, UK, and the British Society of Rheumatology. Before joining Artemis Hospitals, he worked as a Consultant at Medanta, Gurugram.
Along with medical management, Dr. Baweja is trained to perform procedures such as joint aspiration and injections, nail fold capillaroscopy, and biopsies of the salivary gland, nerve and muscle when required for diagnosis. His approach focuses on understanding the patient’s symptoms and test results before planning suitable treatment. He is a Life Member of the India Rheumatology Association and is also associated with the Delhi Rheumatology Association.
