Dr. Vikas Dua is a Principal Director & Head of Pediatric Hematology, Hemato-Oncology & Bone Marrow Transplant at Fortis FMRI Hospitals, with over 20 years of experience. He is a leading Pediatric Hemato-Oncologist and Bone Marrow Transplant specialist known for his expertise in treating complex blood disorders and cancers in children. He has successfully performed more than 1,000 bone marrow transplants.
Dr. Dua completed his MBBS and MD in Paediatrics from PGIMS, Rohtak, followed by FNB in Paediatric Haematology Oncology from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi. He also completed a fellowship in Paediatric Bone Marrow Transplants from NUH, Singapore, and participated in an outreach program in Paediatric BMT at St. Jude Children’s Hospital, USA. His areas of expertise include allogeneic, autologous, haploidentical, matched sibling, and matched unrelated donor transplants.
His clinical expertise covers pediatric acute leukemia, aplastic anemia, thalassemia, sickle cell disease, bone marrow failure syndromes, and myelodysplastic syndromes. Dr. Dua has treated children from India as well as international patients from countries including Afghanistan, Iraq, and several African nations. He is particularly recognized for his work in pediatric unrelated and haploidentical stem cell transplants.
Dr. Dua has received several awards and recognitions, including the Best Outgoing Fellow in FNB at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and the Ravi K. Jarath Best DNB Fellow of the Hospital Award. He has also been recognized for poster and oral presentations at international SIOP conferences in Auckland, New Zealand.
