Dr. Abhijit Joshi is a skilled and dedicated General Surgeon who has served as Associate Director of General Surgery at Hiranandani Hospital. With more than 10 years of experience, he has successfully treated patients with a wide range of surgical problems. He completed his MBBS in 1997 and MS in General Surgery in 2000 from the University of Mumbai.
In 2011, Dr. Joshi completed specialized training in Minimal Invasive Bariatric Surgery and Colorectal Cancer Surgery in Belgium. This means he is highly trained in performing modern “keyhole” surgeries, which use small cuts instead of large incisions.
These advanced techniques usually result in less pain, smaller scars, shorter hospital stays, and quicker recovery for patients. He also earned a Diploma (SAGES) in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery after completing training under the guidance of the well-known surgeon Prof. C. Palanivelu in Coimbatore.

His expertise includes hernia repairs (both groin and abdominal wall hernias), rectopexy for rectal prolapse, hemicolectomies (removal of part of the colon), and radical intestinal surgeries for serious intestinal conditions. He also carries out procedures like fundoplication to treat severe acid reflux and vagotomy with gastro-jejunostomy for certain stomach disorders.
