Transitional Cell Carcinoma Recurrent Bladder Cancer Immunotherapy Radiation Therapy

Diagnosis –

 The patient has been suffering from Transitional Cell Carcinoma of Bladder since 2013. She has gone through multiple TURBTs since then. In the current recurrence, which has been accompanied by Abdominal wall metastasis, she was advised for chemotherapy locally followed by Radiation Therapy. We will need to know the disease status before taking her through the next line of treatment.

Transurethral Resection of a Bladder Tumor (TURBT) is a minimally invasive procedure to treat early-stage bladder cancer. A surgeon inserts a cystoscope through the urethra to find the growth, resect the tumor from the bladder wall using an electrified wire loop, and stop the bleeding

Investigations needed – She will need to go through a PET-CT, review of biopsy, IHC markers, and other necessary tests. It is advised that she brings her biopsy slides for us to avoid doing a fresh biopsy.

Possible line of treatment – The next treatment option will depend upon her disease status. If post last chemo, her metastatic sites have been resolved, then we can go for Radiation Therapy. But if there is residue at the metastatic site, then she may need 2-3 cycles of either Immunotherapy or chemotherapy first and then follow it up with radiation therapy.

Stay in India – The patient will require 3-5 days for initial evaluations on an OPD basis. The Patient can be determined as per the treatment plan, which can be confirmed post investigations only but approximate Stay in India will be approx. 2-3 months.

On Arrival: Patient and attendants will be received at the airport by our Representative. Apart from the medical and nursing team, one Case Manager will take care of all the needs. We shall also assist them with reasonably charged accommodation near the hospital. You may prepare USD 25-45 per day towards accommodation in the guest house after discharge from the hospital.
