A Female Patient of 45 Year-old suffering from Meniscus tear from Uzbekistan Suggested Meniscus arthroscopic surgery in India

Based on the shared report, the patient is suffering with a meniscus tear, causing knee arthritis, degenerative changes and inflammation in the knees.

A meniscus tear is a common knee injury where the rubbery, C-shaped cartilage that cushions your shinbone and thighbone gets ripped, usually from a sudden twist while bearing weight. It causes pain, swelling, stiffness, and sometimes a locking sensation in the knee.

When a meniscus tears, the knee loses its primary shock-absorbing cushion. This creates localized instability and forces the bones to rub together unevenly. In response to this grinding pressure, the body tries to stabilize the joint by growing extra bone (osteophytes) to spread out weight.

Investigations needed to confirm the diagnosis: The patient needs to undergo detailed physical and clinical evaluations followed by some tests such as MRI, X-Ray and some related blood investigations.

Possible Treatment plan: As per the available reports, Patient would require Arthroscopic meniscus repair combined with Debridement.

Meniscus arthroscopic surgery is a minimally invasive outpatient procedure used to repair or remove damaged knee cartilage. 

The debridement will include smoothening of the femur and tibial bone at the knee joint, and removal of osteophytes.

Stay in India: The patient will require 1-2 days for initial evaluations on an OPD basis.
