Diagnosis: According to the medical reports shared with us, the patient appears to have uterine malignancy (cancer of uterus) along with local metastasis in lymph nodes. On Arrival patient needs to undergo detailed investigations to confirm the malignancy. 

Uterine cancer is a cancer of the uterus, most commonly endometrial cancer, which begins in the lining (endometrium), and less commonly uterine sarcoma, which starts in the uterine muscles. Symptoms include abnormal vaginal bleeding, especially after menopause, pelvic pain, unusual discharge, and sometimes unexplained weight loss.  

Lymph node metastasis occurs when cancer cells start breaking away from a primary tumour, and starts to travel through the lymphatic system or bloodstream to settle into nearby or distant lymph nodes to form secondary tumours. It is a key indicator that the cancer is progressing and has started to get into advance stages.

Investigations Needed: Patient will need to go through detailed physical and clinical investigations, which will include – Biopsy, PET Scan, MRI, Ultrasound, Hysteroscopy, Blood tests and other routine investigations to confirm the above diagnosis and line of treatment plan. It is possible that some of the evaluation may happen under anaesthesia (EUA). 

Possible line of treatment – Upon investigations, if the disease is found to be localised, and if Malignancy is confirmed, then she will require Hysterectomy Procedure with lymph node dissection.

Total laparoscopic hysterectomy -This is a surgery where the doctor removes the womb (uterus) and cervix through small cuts in the belly. It’s done using a special camera and tools, so there’s no need for a big opening, just tiny holes (keyhole surgery).
