Dr Shafeeq Mattummal is a renowned Cardiologist, practising successfully for 17 years. He has special acumen in doing Complex Coronary Angioplasty and structural Adult Congenital and Valvular Interventions, including Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI). Besides, he performs Complex Coronary Interventions (CTO), Intracardiac Shunt Device Closures, LA Appendage Closures in AF patients and Septal Ablation for HOCM, Peripheral and Carotid Angioplasty and Stenting, EVAR. Balloon Valvuloplasty, Device Closure of ASD, VSD, PDA and Permanent Pacemaker Implantation. He holds an MBBS from Calicut Medical College, an MD in Internal Medicine from Grant Medical College & JJ Hospitals in Mumbai, and a DM in Cardiology from King Edward VII Memorial (KEM) Hospital & Seth GS Medical College, Mumbai. Dr. Mattumal completed his Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Inselpsital, University of Bern, Switzerland, and received specialized TAVI training in Rouen, France, under Professor Alain Cribier, a pioneer in the field who performed the world’s first TAVI in 2002.
