Dr. Sarita Bhagwat has 28 years of expertise in the field of pediatric surgery. She received her MBBS from Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College, as well as her MS in General Surgery and MCh in Pediatric Surgery from King Edward Memorial Hospital and Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College, respectively. She also did a Fellowship in Pediatric Urology.
Her specialties include tracheoesophageal cleft, exstrophy bladder repair, epispadias repair, and repair of the duplicated urethra with urethral fistula, among others.
Dr. Sarita Bhagwat has contributed several chapters to the books and is a co-editor of the book “Re-do Surgery in Children.” She was given the Hargobind Foundation Fellowship in Paediatric Surgery in 2002, which allowed her to visit Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Australia, to work on vesical exstrophy.
She is an active member of the Indian Association of Paediatric Surgeons, the Indian Association for Paediatric Urology, the Paediatric Endoscopic Surgeons of India, and the IAPS Maharashtra Chapter.
She has been invited to speak as a guest at several national conferences and has given talks at numerous international conferences.
