Dr. Ashok K. Vaid is a recognized and qualified Medical Oncologist who has established one of the largest Stem Cell Transplant programs in the private sector in northern India. Dr. Vaid currently serves as the Chairman of Medical Oncology, Hematology, and Stem Cell Transplant at Medanta Cancer Institute in Gurugram, India.
He has over 41 years of clinical experience, with a strong interest in cancer genomics, immunotherapy guidance, and precision onco-therapeutics, as well as dendritic cell therapy and stem cell transplantation. Dr. Ashok Vaid’s key areas of expertise are leukemia, lymphoma, solid tumors, and the treatment of organ-specific benign and malignant tumors.
He received his Doctor of Medicine (DM) degree in Medical Oncology from the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University in Chennai, India. He has published multiple peer-reviewed articles, is actively involved in clinical research, and has served as Principal Investigator for over 50 international and national studies.
Dr. Vaid is also a postgraduate teacher certified with the National Board of Examinations and serves on the panel of university examiners for the super-specialty course in Medical Oncology. In recognition of his great contributions to medicine, he received the coveted “Padma Shri” Award from the President of India in 2009.
