Dr. (Air Cmde) Krishan Kumar Yadav is a senior neurosurgeon with 40 years of experience and serves as Clinical Director, Professor and Head of Department at Marengo Asia Hospitals. He has extensive experience in treating conditions affecting the brain, spine, and nervous system. During his career in the Armed Forces Medical Services and medical practice, he has managed over 80,000 neurosurgical cases and performed more than 5,000 complex procedures.
Dr. Yadav specialises in brain and spine surgery, including the treatment of brain tumours, skull base tumours, spinal injuries and slipped discs. He also treats conditions such as stroke, neck pain, lower back pain and age-related spinal problems. His expertise includes minimally invasive spine surgery, which uses smaller cuts to treat certain spinal conditions, as well as advanced procedures to stabilise the spine.
He has significant experience in treating children with neurological conditions, brain and spinal infections, and patients requiring emergency surgery following serious injuries. His areas of expertise also include surgery for blood vessel problems in the brain and conditions affecting the pituitary gland. He completed his MBBS, MS in General Surgery, and MCh in Neurosurgery from the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune.
Throughout his career, Dr. Yadav has received several honours, including the Chief of Air Staff Commendation in 2010. He is associated with national and international neurosurgical organisations, including the Neurological Society of India and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. He has also participated as a speaker and chairperson at more than 60 national and international conferences and has contributed to neurosurgical education as an examiner, postgraduate guide and academic expert.
