Dr. Mahesh Gopasetty is a highly experienced Liver Transplant and Surgeon who has worked as the HOD & Lead Consultant at Gleneagles Hospital, Bengaluru, India. With over 28 years of experience, he has treated many patients with complex liver and abdominal diseases. He is known for his expertise in organ transplantation and advanced surgical care.
He completed his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from Kasturba Medical College. To further strengthen his skills, he earned the MRCS from the Royal College of Edinburgh, UK. Dr. Gopasetty also completed advanced fellowships in Abdominal Multi-organ Transplantation at the Medical University of South Carolina (USA) and Paediatric Multi-visceral Transplantation at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh (USA).
Dr. Gopasetty specializes in organ transplant surgeries, including liver, kidney, small intestine, and complex abdominal transplant surgeries. In addition to transplant procedures, he also performs surgeries for conditions such as breast cancer, vascular and vein-related cancers, and colorectal cancers. His wide range of expertise allows him to manage many complex surgical conditions.
For his excellent academic performance, he was awarded the Gold Medal for being the Best Outgoing Post-Graduate student in General Surgery in 2002. Dr. Gopasetty is also a member of the Manipal Academy of Clinical Embryologists, and he continues to contribute to the field of advanced surgery and transplantation.
