Dr. Suneeta Mittal is a highly respected Senior Director & HOD of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Fortis Hospital, with nearly 50 years of experience in women’s healthcare. She holds qualifications including MBBS, MD, DNB, FRCOG (UK), and several prestigious fellowships from national and international medical institutions. Renowned for her clinical excellence, she is considered one of the leading gynaecologists in Delhi and Gurgaon and has treated patients from across India and neighboring countries.
Dr. Mittal is well known for her expertise in robotic surgery, laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgeries, and the management of high-risk pregnancies. Her advanced skills in minimally invasive and robotic gynecological surgeries help patients benefit from smaller incisions, reduced pain, and faster recovery. She also specializes in fertility and reproductive health, endocrinological disorders, adolescent gynecology, medical abortion, and emergency contraception.
Beyond patient care, Dr. Mittal has made significant contributions to public health and women’s reproductive healthcare in India. She played a key role in drafting the country’s Emergency Contraception Guidelines, issuing National Guidelines for Medical Abortion, and promoting the rational use of emergency contraception.
