Dr. Amit Kumar Chaurasia is a renowned Cardiologist and the Head of the Cath Lab & TAVI Unit I at Artemis Hospitals in Gurugram. He has been recognized both nationally and internationally for his outstanding contributions to the field of interventional cardiology, having performed over 10,000 successful cardiac treatments. His extensive expertise includes Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI), Complex Coronary Interventions, Transcatheter Pulmonary Valve Implantation (TPVR), and Peripheral Interventions, among others.
Dr. Chaurasia’s medical career began at three of India’s top institutions. He received his MBBS from JIPMER Pondicherry, MD in Internal Medicine from AIIMS New Delhi, and DM in Cardiology from SCTIMST Trivandrum. He improved his skills during his Fellowship in Complex Coronary and Structural Heart Disease in Europe.
He is a pioneer in Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation/Replacement (TAVI/TAVR), having served as one of India’s first TAVI proctors. His excellent qualifications include over 1000 TAVI/TAVR treatments, establishing him as a prominent specialist in this field in India.
