He graduated from Armed Forces Medical College in 1986 and pursued his MD (Medicine) from Pune University. In recognition of his exceptional performance, he was awarded the Gold Medal for standing first in MD. Following his MD, Dr. Sandhu completed his DNB (Medicine) in 1993, further specializing in the field of cardiology.     He was awarded the Gold medal for standing first in MD. He has done DM (Cardiology) from PGIMER, Chandigarh in 2001.
  3. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions.
