Dr. Mohit Sharma is India’s top plastic and reconstructive surgeon renowned for microvascular techniques for solving complex reconstructive problems. He has been employed at Amrita Hospital in Kochi for the past 20 years after completing his Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery specialty at Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi in 2002.
His team is well-known for establishing India’s first Vascularised Composite Allotransplantation (VCA) program in 2015, and they have one of the world’s largest bodies of experience in the field of Hand Transplantation.
He completed Clinical Fellowships in Burns and Hand Surgery at St. Andrew’s Centre for Plastic Surgery, the largest burns and reconstructive surgery unit in the UK.
He has worked and trained with several leaders in the field of reconstructive plastic surgery. He is a reviewer for several international journals, as well as the Indian Journal of Plastic Surgery.
