Dr. Shomeshwar Singh is an ENT and Cochlear Implant Surgeon who presently works as a Senior Consultant and Adjunct Professor of Cochlear Implants in the Department of Ear, Nose, Throat, and Hearing Cochlear Implant Surgery at Amrita Hospital in Faridabad, India. He has over 24 years of experience in his field.
He completed his medical education at some of India’s most prestigious colleges. After completing his MBBS at JIPMER, Pondicherry, he went abroad to pursue an MD in Clinical Research at University College London.
He specializes in treating hearing loss, Bell’s palsy, sinusitis, cochlear implants, and deafness. Dr. Singh can conduct a variety of ENT treatments, including auditory implantation (hearing devices) and cochlear implant surgery.
Dr. Singh invented See Sound Live (SSL), a novel assistive technology that allows the deaf to speak. SSL is currently under-tested in India, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Dr. Singh also received training in otology, auditory implants, and hearing loss in the West Midlands, UK. He was also a Research Fellow with the Cochlear Implant Programme.
He is an established Trainer / Mentor Surgeon for New Cochlear Implant Programs and also leads the ACIC, an annual surgical teaching course in Cochlear Implant Surgery.
In 2020, India’s Vice President awarded him many grants, including the renowned BIRAC INNOVATOR AWARD, for his study.
