Dr. Khursheed Ansari is a highly experienced Senior Consultant of Neurosurgery at Hiranandani Hospital with over 21 years of medical experience. He completed his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from Maharashtra University, followed by an MCh in Neurosurgery from the prestigious Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology (SCTIMST), an institute of national importance. He is also an FRCS (Neurosurgery) from Edinburgh, UK, and has completed advanced fellowships in skull base surgery, spine surgery, and epilepsy surgery in India and England.
Dr. Ansari has received specialized training from some of the world’s leading centers, including the Royal College of Surgeons (UK) and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, London, where he trained in pediatric neurosurgery. He has nearly 3 years of fellowship experience in England, spanning skull base surgery, neuro-oncology, spine surgery, and epilepsy surgery. He has also completed advanced training in epilepsy surgery in Vienna, Austria.
His areas of expertise include brain tumor surgery, skull base and endoscopic skull base surgery, cerebrovascular surgery, epilepsy surgery, pediatric neurosurgery, and minimally invasive spine surgery. He is skilled in performing advanced minimal-access brain and spine procedures, including complex cases like endoscopic CSF leak repair in very young infants.
Dr. Ansari has previously worked at reputed hospitals such as Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Wockhardt Hospital, and SevenHills Hospital in Mumbai. He has presented research at national conferences, published papers in neurosurgery journals, and actively participates in medical workshops and seminars. He is a lifetime member of leading professional bodies, including the Neurological Society of India (NSI), Neurological Surgeons Society of India (NSSI), Indian Medical Association (IMA), and The Society of British Neurological Surgeons (SBNS).
