Dr. Sonal Asthana is a senior and highly experienced surgeon with more than 30 years of experience in treating liver and organ-related diseases. He is currently working as the Lead Consultant for HPB and Liver Transplant Surgery at Shalby Hospital. Over the years, he has treated many patients with serious liver problems and helped them live healthier lives.
He completed his MBBS degree in 1994 from JIPMER, Pondicherry, which is one of the top medical colleges in India. He later completed his MS in General Surgery in 1997, also from JIPMER, gaining strong training in surgery.
Dr. Asthana mainly treats problems related to the liver, pancreas, and bile ducts. He is well known for performing liver transplant surgeries. He also has experience in kidney, pancreas, and small intestine transplants. In addition, he works on advanced treatments like cell transplantation, which helps patients with diabetes and liver failure. He also treats cancers that need surgical care.
