Dr Ashish Katewa currently serves as Head- Pediatric Cardiac Surgery at Amrita Hospital. He is an experienced Pediatric and Adult Congenital Heart Surgeon with 14 years of expertise in the field. With a strong focus on pediatric cardiac surgeries, he has successfully performed over 6000 surgeries, covering a wide range of congenital heart disease cases. He is a governing council of member of Society of pediatric and congenital heart surgeons of India. In addition to his surgical practice, Dr. Katewa is dedicated to improving pediatric cardiac care globally. He has played a mentoring role in pediatric cardiac programs in Cambodia and Nigeria, sharing his knowledge and skills with local medical professionals to enhance their capabilities in treating congenital heart diseases. His specialization is mainly neonatal and pediatric cardiac surgery. Dr Ashish Katewa’s expertise includes surgery for VSD, ASD and other heart defects.
He is also an expert in doing complete cardiac repairs, cardiac switch surgeries, surgery for tetralogy of Fallot or TOF surgeries. He has been doing Glenn Shunt surgeries and Fontan surgeries in India.
