Treatment for Coil Embolization 

Under general anesthesia, embolization is performed. Once the anesthesia is given, a catheter is tied throughout the groin into the aneurysm through the blood vessel. The catheters are rather small. It’s comparable to cerebral angiography, except that these small catheters are placed close to the aneurysm and platinum coils inserted into the aneurysm to embolize it.
