Recurrent Uterine Cancer

Findings – As per the translated reports shared with us, the patient appears to be a case of uterine cancer. Previously she has already undergone surgery, chemotherapy, and selected radiotherapy, but the cancer is now showing signs of recurrence at the stump of the cervix.

A cervical stump is the remaining lower portion of the cervix left behind after a supracervical (subtotal) hysterectomy.

We will need to investigate further to plan treatment.

Investigations Needed – Patient will need to go through PET-CT, Review of Biopsy blocks, IHC markers, and other routine tests.

Possible line of Treatment – Patient will need chemotherapy. Depending upon investigative results, the doctors would like to add on either Targeted therapy or Immunotherapy to the chemotherapy. This is more likely in this case.
