Findings: The reports suggest that the patient has lumbar lordosis associated with disc bulges at Levels L3-L4 and L4-L5. Also, slight narrowing (spinal stenosis) at Level L5 through Level S1 is also noted.

A disc bulge, also known as disc protrusion, is a condition where the outer layer of a spinal disc bulges out due to pressure, but the disc’s outer wall (annulus fibrosus) remains intact. It’s a common age-related change, and often asymptomatic, but can sometimes cause pain or other symptoms if it presses on nerves.

Spinal stenosis is a condition where the discs deteriorate, leading to the narrowing of the spinal canal and nerve compression.

We would like to confirm the severity of the condition by doing some investigations upon her arrival at our hospital.

Investigations Needed: The patient will need to go through detailed physical and clinical evaluations, which will include Imaging tests like MRI scans, X-rays, blood tests, and other routine tests.

Possible line of treatment: Final treatment plan will be decided after completing clinical and Physical evaluation. In all possibilities, the patient may need MIS TLIF surgery at level L3-L4 and level L4-L5.

Estimated cost:

The estimated cost of evaluations will be approx. USD 600-800 on OPD basis.

Stay in India: The patient will require 2-3 days for initial evaluations on an OPD basis. The patient will require 3-5 days of hospitalization for each surgery. Post-Discharge from the second surgery, the patient may require 10-15 days for follow-up and recuperation. Total length of stay in India will be approx. 5-6 weeks.
